The Medical School for International Health operates under the license of
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev as issued by the Israeli Council of Higher Education.
The M.D. degree is awarded by Ben-Gurion University of the Negev Faculty of Health Sciences.
The MSIH is approved by the U.S. Department of
Education for participation in federally funded student loan programs.
Students who seek medical licensure in the United States must take the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) parts one and two in Israel as International Medical Graduates after their second and third years of study, respectively. Students take the Clincal Skills Assessment (CSA) portion of the USMLE during their 4th year as scheduled by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) in Philadelphia, PA.
Canadian students seeking licensure in Canada and the United States must also take the Medical Council of Canada (MCC) qualifying exams and obtain a statement of need from their home province to return to Canada after completion of a residency in the United States. |
