MSIH students can participate in extracurricular activites within the school or throughout the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev campus.
MSIH Student Council
Comprised of student leaders from across the school. The Council takes action on issues concerning MSIH students and provides a forum for student cooperation and exchange of ideas.
American Medical Student Association (AMSA)
AMSA is the largest, independent medical student association in the United States, with worldwide chapters, consisting of 60,000 medical student members. MSIH students participate in AMSA, as an internatioal affiliate, and send representatives each year to the annual conference in the U.S
Emergency Medicine Interest Group
Founded in 2006, EMIG is a student-run, faculty-mentored organization that seeks to promote interest in and awareness of the field of Emergency Medicine.
Students For Integrative Medicine (SIM)
SIM is an organization that fosters MSIH students' interest in alternative, complementary and Integrative Medicine and medical student personal wellness. The students learn local healing traditions of Bedouin, Russian, and Ethiopian communities, and organize guest speakers on alternative healing modalities from Israeli hospitals.
Women's Health Focus Group
The Women's Health Focus Group serves as a resource for volunteer efforts specifically targeted to women in developing populations. Some of those resources include access to field workers and experts as guest speakers and panelists. Students work to understand issues related toimproving disparities in reproductive health, maternal mortality, and OB/GYN care.
BGU Student Association
The BGU Student Association represents the entire student body at BGU. Located on the 2nd floor of Beit Ha Student on the main campus, every year the association negotiates for new services and offer a variety of student services and activities.
